The electrical side: designed to depend less on the grid
The Supercubo Pro can have the solar kit — standard in the complete pack and an extra on the new unit. With it, much of the module’s electricity consumption — lighting, some climate control or electronic equipment — can be covered without needing a conventional mains connection from day one.
This does not mean that every project can do entirely without the grid: it depends on the specific use and the equipment installed. What does change is the starting point: a connection is not a mandatory condition for installing the module, as it would be in traditional building work.
The water side: it depends on the use, it is not a basic requirement
Water is not necessary for a shipping container gym to work as a training space. It only becomes a need if the project includes elements that require it — for example, a toilet or shower area linked to the module — and in that case it is assessed case by case according to the location and its available connections.
Why this simplifies the choice of location
As it does not necessarily depend on existing electricity and water connections, location options open up that traditional premises would not have: areas of a site far from the plot’s connections, outdoor spaces with no previous infrastructure, or land where bringing in those services would be a building project in itself.
What to ask yourself before deciding on the location
- Does the use I am going to give it require a toilet or shower, or is it just a training space?
- Is there already a mains connection nearby, or do I prefer the solar kit?
- Does the chosen land have any limitation on access to utilities that I should take into account?
Frequently asked questions
Does the Supercubo Pro work without a grid connection?
With the solar kit it can significantly reduce its dependence on the grid; to what extent depends on the specific use and equipment of each project.
Do I need to bring running water to the installation site?
Only if the project includes elements that require it, such as a toilet area. As a training space in itself, it is not a basic requirement.
Can I install it on land with no connections nearby?
That is precisely one of the scenarios where the solar kit offers the greatest advantage over traditional premises, which would need those connections.
What if I want to add a toilet area later on?
It is assessed as an extension of the initial project, depending on the location and the connections available at that time.
Does the interior equipment need a lot of power?
It depends on the type of equipment chosen; it is assessed during the project definition stage to size the energy side properly.
